Have you ever hired a staff member and denied an application from someone you know, and then finding it a little awkward from then on talking around the forum with them? xD I have done this way too many times and I am sure on some forums I am known to do it. What I do when doing applications is I cut out all the non-personal information and choose applications from there so while doing so I tend to piss off a few people I know. =P I actually denied an application from my best friend once. Yeah, that was interesting. xD We are still best of friends but he wasn't happy I denied him. I know I denied Teg for a part too.

But, I tend to... disappear which is the only reason, I assume, that you said no because I was more than qualified. LOL Doesn't really matter I landed on RT which is > than CT so haha! (covers ears as a war is about to break out). Anyway, yes I've had to do this before and it sucks. But, the more professional you want your site to be, you have to hire staff that will act that way.

I see how it is. xD Yes I have done this a few times. There are just some people that aren't right for a certain team they are applying to or I knew they wouldn't take it seriously.

We don't announce a need for staff members or accept applications. We just ask an active/loyal member if they want to join the team.

Always so awkward. I once denied an application when my friend's cousin joined my site... I disliked the character and it violated a few of our rules... It wasn't a pleasant few days at school after that... He was really protective of his cousin, who they ended up hiring when I was really sick for my forum. She thought "lots of posts" made ProBoards forums go slower, so she deleted 20,000+ posts.

Much worse. I did nearly die when I came back. It ruined years of my best and most inspired work.

The forum stats have nothing to do with loading an individual page.
