What do you normally do when you start from scratch? Do you have a save steps in place that you follow, or do you just fly by the seat of your pants?
In every website I've had, I always give myself a year. I post like I've already established an audience, I try out a bunch of themes, and practice my scheduling and see if I can stick to it. Sometime before that year is up, once I feel comfortable with everything, I make it "public," and starting linking/advertising.
