Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen! We have been discussing the direction we'd like to take PF as of late due to the lack of activity from all of our members. A few months ago, we got rid of Packages because we couldn't keep reliable staff to complete them and do so promptly. We still have reviews, though no one has taken advantage or used the Review service. With PromoForum being a Promotion Forum, we figured those two things would do well, but they didn't. That said, we are looking to the members for their thoughts on making PF a better place for all of our members. So, at this time, we'd like to know what services (if any), features, etc., that you guys would like to see here at PromoForum. While we may not be able to implement every idea, we will take all ideas and suggestions into consideration. Only reply to this thread with any suggestions or ideas that you have. We thank you for your time and commitment. Regards, PromoForum Staff Teg

I thought Teg was going to make "classes" for coding. Was that plan scrapped?

I thought Teg was going to make "classes" for coding. Was that plan scrapped? Those take a lot of time to write up and they are extensive. I have another project the is more time sensitive and needs to be completed before something like this. That said, it's still an option but I'd need more people than just me who could teach that kind of stuff.

I think packages should be brought back because those really drive the activity in a promotion in my opinion. I understand the difficulty in finding reliable staff to do this though. ...it is something that should be considered. I don't know how your advertising methods are being run right now but I do know it's important to do everything you can to drive new members to join as to keep the current members entertained as well. PromoForum is AWESOME - don't give up. Reaching out to the members like this is a great place to start.

Maybe it would be good to reassess the current packages, and prices to make it more manageable by the possible staff. Or even trying to come with a spin that makes it unique. Honestly I think we could make a thread of its own to talk about what we like and we don't like of packages and how we can make it better.

It's more of an issue of not having staff will work and do packages. We tried this already and went through several Package Team members within the first week, then again the first couple months. That is why we removed them. Granted, we removed them temporarily. We've recently lost all but a few staff here too which is making things like packages difficult. Now, this doesn't mean we won't bring packages back, we likely will as a part of the our "direction," but we still have to find reliable team members for those.

New guy here. Your first priority imo is to find more active members by advertisement, word of mouth, etc and have them actually be part of this community. Then, you, the staff, need to come up with ways to get all current users to participate in some other event. The whole coding classes thing sounds awesome but, why not focus on an easier event to do like maybe on a monthly basis?
Once you're confident in the activity with the forum, find some more staff members for your packaging/review and get that up and running again.
