My husband and I both were very terrible in this department. We had kept wires from old devices, electronics, etc with the intention of having them accessible should we ever need them. This was great in theory but unfortunately there were always so many to look through that we ended up simply buying a new wire when we needed one. It was difficult for us to let go of most of them but we did and ended up only keeping hdmi, mini/micro usb, audio, and ethernet cables. Everything else e.g. adapters, chargers, etc were either sold (we sold a few bags at 50 cents each at our yard sale), donated, or threw them away if they appeared broken.
Do you keep random wires and cables?

YES.
My boyfriend is an IT guy, so yes, he has bins full of nothing but random cables. Haha. It's quite annoying, to be honest! I clean his desk every now and then when it gets too messy for me to stand looking at it one second longer, and I always find random cables. So I put them in another box that lives under his desk so that he can go through them later and decide what he needs and doesn't need. (which he never does, hence why we have so many... never-ending cycle, lol.)

I keep them. For some reason, I always think I'll need them again. Most of the time I have no clue what they go to, though. xD
My mom is the worst at this. She has done it more than all of us. I used to find boxes and boxes of wires that she couldn't tell me what they were for.

Yup. I keep every single wire and manual I've ever had. I still have my manual for my Nintendo 8Bit xD
