Well, do ya? And do they come with a good story behind it?! Also, on the same train of thought, have you ever been hospitalized because of an injury? If so, what happened? Has the experience changed the way you live your life at all?

Ohjeeze, where do I even begin with this? lol. I have scars pretty much all over my body. Let's see how many I can remember off the top of my head - Two scars, one on my inside left ankle and one on my right hip - bone and muscle biopsies when I was a kid.
- Two more, inside right ankle and one on my neck, more biopsies a few months later.
- A scar below my right knee from where I threw myself off my trike when I was about.. five? I still have that scar to this day.
- One above the right knee where I succeeded in plunging a scalpel blade into it. A pair of jeans does not make a very good cutting mat. Lesson learned!
- One scar down the length of my right big toe, and a scar across the top of the three middle toes on that same foot.
I broke this toe and it reset crooked, which caused tremendous joint pain. The joint had to be rebroken, then set in place with two surgical steel screws. The middle three toes had the end joints removed and the toe left floating in place. (I have the xray, it's pretty gruesome ) - One scar above the left kidney, the result of a nephrostomy during the early stages of renal treatment.
- Four scars on my abdomen resulting from the insertion and subsequent removal of a peritoneal dialysis catheter.
Twice. - One scar on the top of the right leg groin area from a Vascath insertion, which was used to administer emergency Hemodialysis.
- One scar on the right side of my neck from another Vascath, inserted for Hemo on the day of my kidney transplant.
- Three laparoscopic scars on my abdomen and one huge laparotomic scar, each from a kidney transplant I received in June.
And by huge, I mean about ten inches long. - Not forgetting of course the tiny scars all over my hands and fingers from years of engineering work, and cutting myself up on some sharp thing or another.

Im not going to get into a big list of scars I have, but the first two I got, I'll mention something about them. The first one I got, is on the back side of my head. It is roughly an inch long, and I got it by falling down stairs that had some metal exposed when I was 5 years old, and got my head cut open. It happened when my parents were not home, and my older brother laughed at me, did some cleaning of me up, and didn't mention it to my parents, so the scar developed, due to the area not being shaved, and bandaged. The second scar I got, was from a steak knife that I was using when I was 6. The scar is on my right foot, so how I got it, was this: I decided to make myself a sandwich, and I didn't want a regular butter knife for some reason or an another, and went for the shark steak knives. As I finished up my sandwich, I reached to put the knife on the table, and dropped it when I thought it was above the table, and it dropped to my foot as I started turning, and landed blade down into my foot. If the knife had more force, it would have went straight through my foot.

Ahh, I'm having second thoughts about starting this thread now, as it's making me queasy reading through all of you guys' experiences! Haha. You both definitely win though in the scar department... As for me, I don't have quite as extensive of a list but here goes (in chronological order): - First, when I was about a year old, my brother (who was around 3 at the time) and I were chasing each other around the living room... I ended up tripping over a toy that was left on the floor, fell face first into the brick fireplace and had to be rushed to the hospital and ended up with stitches slightly above my right eyebrow. I still have the scar from it, from my eyebrow leading up to a mole that I've always had above said eyebrow, although it's hard to see sometimes, unless there's the perfect amount of lighting that illuminates it in an obvious way.
- Next, I have a scar from when I had the chicken pox when I was 8, it's just a little indent in my skin on the inside of my forearm... not much of a story there.
- Then, on the same forearm, the inside of my wrist has a slight diagonal line reaching towards the center of my palm. This was from a cut from a knife, which was done by a crazy jealous ex-boyfriend about 10 years ago. (great little daily reminder too, let me tell ya.)
- And lastly, I have a scar on my left shin, slightly off-center from the knee where I fell into a metal post that juts out in our backyard from where it used to hold up a deck from the previous owners and we've just never gotten around to removing them. I was trying to break up a fight between Dozer and the dogs in the neighbor's yard when it happened. I also have another scar from the same incident, on the outside of my upper thigh. (This happened about a little over 2 years ago) The one on my shin has started to slowly fade away though, which is nice because it's a nasty-looking scar, lol. Though the area is still numb, because I think I damaged a nerve, as I don't feel anything when pressure is applied to the scar.
Keep the stories coming!

I have two that I'm definite about:
A scar on my right knee from hitting it head-on into concrete when I was in the fifth grade. Spring of that year. Screamed like I was shot. Run over it and press on it, and you can tell that the skin and whatnot under it isn't coming back any time soon.
Then there's the chicken pox scar that's close to my right breast (if I'm wearing a tank top, it's noticeable). I got the chicken pox, then I gave 'em to my brother. Enjoy!

Have basically two on both of my knees from falling off bikes. One mark on each of my fingers on my right hand from scrapes while falling down playing basketball.Once when i was 2 or 3, I put my hand on a hot stove and ended up going to the doctor because of it. No scars from that though

I have a scar on my right thigh from where I was stabbed in the leg by my brother--from another... It was a drunken accident, but still hurt like a bitch (lol)! I also have a scar by my right eye from where I was accidentally burned by a cigarette. Ironically, my oldest daughter as a scar from the same thing in the same place ;(. The other ones, well there's no need to talk about them.

I did, but it's faded and basically gone now. You can still sort of see it, but it's very hard to see.

Only a small one, it's on my hand from surgery. I had something growing on there and it didn't look pretty so I had it cut from my hand and now I am a happy individual.
PS - Was my first time getting surgery, I thought that was kinda cool.
