Welcome to Member Exchange
Hello, everyone! Welcome to our Member Exchange Board. You may be asking your self, "What is a Member Exchange?" The simple answer; A member exchange is an exchange of services for services amongst members. For example, users can exchange forum signups, posts, threads, affiliates, link exchanges, blog comments, etc. This guide includes the rules and a sample first post for an exchange thread. Please make sure you read and understand the rules and guide before posting an exchange thread.
Without further ado, here are the Member Exchange Rules and Guide.
Rules & Guide
- You must have a minimum of 10 posts on our forum before posting an exchange thread.
- You may bump your thread when it reaches the second page, no sooner.
- You must be the administrator on the forum, website, or blog you are setting the exchange up for.
- Users are only permitted to post 1 exchange thread on the forum. So, you can bump the thread when it reaches the second page to bring members back to your exchange.
- Only the thread creator is allowed to "bump" a thread.
- Do your part! I cannot stress that enough. If you agree to the exchange, make sure you do it. Don't offer to do so unless you plan to keep up with it.
- Do not begin an exchange with a currently posted thread until the thread creator has "accepted" your exchange. Once they've posted that they agree to the exchange, feel free to get to work.
- Users can apply a label to the their thread to indicate whether or not the exchange thread is "open" or "closed." We encourage all of our members to apply the appropriate label to their thread. For details on how to do this see the Applying Labels Section of the Member Guide. Applying the label will allow members and staff to see what threads are open for exchanges and which aren't. You can always bump and reopen a thread so long as you follow the bumping rule above.
- If you wish to change the details of your exchange, do so in the first post and then reply to the thread to indicate that you've changed/updated the first post. Typically, you shouldn't have to do this until after your thread has reached the second page. However, in the rare occurrence that it needs to be done before hand, you will not be penalized or have moderation actions taken against you for doing it prior to the thread making its way to the second page. But, should this become a regular occurrence, moderation actions will apply.
- Make sure your exchange thread specifically states what you are looking for.
- If anyone does not complete their end of the exchange, please report them to an Administrator.
- If you have any questions, please post them in the Feedback & Support board.
