There are quite a few blogging platforms out there now. Which one is your favorite and why?
Personally, I love Wordpress. I'm a huge support of the platform for the simple fact that it's easily customizable. Additionally, you can make it look more like a website with a blog as opposed to just the blog. Also a great point.

The only one I've been able to stick by throughout the years is Blogger. I had a LiveJournal way back when, but that got old quick. Haha. I also used Xanga but that died out. I really liked Xanga though when it was active. Blogger is just so easy and efficient for me. It's never given me any problems so I've never strayed away from it.

Personally i do like Wordpress as its something ive always used.
As for the customisation aspect of designing and development that is definitely one of my weak points as i its just something ive never done although i would like too.
I do own my own domain name and ive always used Wordpress but trying to find a good trustworthy developer is quite hard in my opinion as i always want something custom made.
Although the overall functionality and installing and setup of the software and the plugins is quite simple to do.

I have always used Wordpress, it's just so easy to handle and you can host it all on your own if you wanted too. Sometimes I wish Wordpress would run faster on my server but at the end of the day it gets things done. I even had a fancy page builder that came with the theme I had, how many blogging softwares can say they have that?

WordPress has my love. WordPress and Automattic as a company is a company to vie for. Their team is talented. WordPress is constantly updated and is so flexible it can be used on anything! I'm currently building a new blog on WordPress right now. I guarantee you, that you'd be blown away by it. I challenge anyone to try and build something similar to what I am doing on WordPress on any rival (Tumblr, Blogger, etc).

O.o, I'll be anxious to see what you're doing right now. At any rate, you are right. Other blogging platforms do not compare to WordPress, especially in the customization area.

WordPress is simply the name in the professional game. I refuse to take anyone seriously on blogspot or tumblr now days. Especially tumblr. WordPess is an amazing piece of software. I'm sure you'll find out about my blog soon enough!

Joomla is like what. It looks so amazing, doesn't it? But I look at it and I cannot even figure out the most basic stuff. It's not easy to use... Makes my head hurt. I just purchased a blog package for my blog It can show what advanced WordPress can do!
