What got you started graphic designing on your own? When did you start doing it? Do you prefer to do it yourself or have someone else do it for you?

What little graphic design I do got started when my then partner taught me how to use Photoshop.

What got me started answers both questions.  When I created my forum back in April 2004 was what also got me started in designing. I wanted to learn how to design it myself. Simple as that. So I found my very first graphic design forum and used everything I could find to teach myself what to do. I used a lot of Photoshop tutorials that I found online as well. Then I just eventually combined what I'd learned into my own little "style." And it grew from there. And yeah, I prefer to do it myself. |

Id love to be able to design and code in every language But i guess im a bit late now  Dave |

I started graphics designing round about... 2005/2006? I'd joined up on the online gaming/chat program, Habbo Hotel, and I ended up being "hired" by a few of its members to help with designing a habbo fan page. There were LOTS of them around back then. I started of doing "alts", where you'd take an image of an element from the Habboverse, and change it, add bits to it, change the size or colour or whatever. Eventually learning how to design my own things from scratch, and do more advanced work. Pixel art, thus, has become one of my favourite, if not THE favourite computer graphics "genre" |

I think back in 2004, like ⸗April⸗, I started designing. Solid Snake Designs, which is no longer around, is where I got my start. Ever since I joined that site, I've been designing themes for PB. I use to make those MySpace div overlays when that site was still big, then I moved on to forums, graphics, and websites. |
