Do you prefer to watch movies at home or in theaters? Why or why not?

Theater for me usually but Depends on the movie. At home, there are distractions so can't fully watch the movie without stopping. In the theater I can watch continuously without any interruptions.

The-a-ter. Popcorn tastes yummy and my home with the lights out just freaks me out.

Yeah, this for me too. We like going to this smaller theatre that was built in the 1930s though, because it's usually a lot cheaper (and I like to support the underdog). The catch is that they only play 2 movies at a time, so it depends on if they have what we want to see playing or not.

Usually, I like to watch them at home. It's rare I see a movie at the theater, but it also depends on my excitement level for the movie. Besides, people who go to the theater to see movies are generally obnoxious and I end up missing the important parts.

LOL tunescoolId also prefer to watch a movie at home ... As mentioned above their are no interruptions from other people eg: talking, slurping a drink or crunching of packets etc Also i can have a beer whilst watching a film and i dont have interruptions at home as i simply put on my headhpones and ignore everyone for the duration lol Dave

Theatre, by far. I love sitting in a room with the sound turned all the way up, blasting my ears off. I love being in the movie, almost. Watching it on a big screen with the sound being the way it is in a theatre is amazing.

You can't put extra butter on it? Our theatre has a little machine that allows for that. The boyfriend always puts way too much though.

I would rather go to the theater to watch movies, but I don't have the money to constantly do that. Even though i like watching movies at home, the experience is less than what I would like. We don't have surround sound and a big tv to watch movies on.

The theater has a sort of thrilling feeling to it whereas home is quite dull.

I like going to the theater but I don't have the money to go as much as I want due to the fact that the price at the theater keeps going up and up. Due to rising costs, I have become more selective about what I see in the theater. So I tend to watch more movies at home. It depends on how badly I want to see the movie.
