I am really bad at art. I know that from the very beginning. Still, I love to mess around with photoshop and use various tools to give something a new look. Take a look at my banner here: So what do you guys think? How can I improve?

First off, I would not say you are "really bad." I like your use of the text and the effects within, the gradient and the shading, it really makes it stand out and it's easy to read, which is what I consider the most important thing about any text. The images though... at first glance, they appear as if they've been stretched out horizontally. I'm not sure if that's just my eyes playing tricks on me, but that's what I see. I like how you placed them within the text, but I think it comes off as slightly cluttered. To remedy that, I would suggest not using so many of them, maybe like 3-4 of the most prominent characters. And place them on either side of the main text, or strategically between the words, slightly touching the capitalized letters. I do like the placement of the character within the "O" though, it seems to fit nicely there.

I'm pretty sure that I've always said I love this banner! I love the text and I love the images around the text. Though, as I've said before, the images look skewed and are not proportional. They're two stretched and it makes the overall look and feel of the banner look "off."
