So which one do you prefer, forums or blogs? Or perhaps you like to run both on your website? I personally like forums over blogs, I feel that it's easier to get to know members on a forum rather than on a blog. Plus I think it's easier to keep up with a forum rather than to have to write new articles each day on a blog, but that's just my personal preference. Though it's nice to see forums and blogs integrated with each other, but I feel that only works on specific websites such as gaming websites, webmaster sites, and fan sites.

Depends on my needs really, but if I had to choose, I would pick forums over blogs most days of the year.

Yeah, I'd pick forums over blogs too. My blog is mainly personal mumbo jumbo about my life and such. Real conversations and discussions are better suited to forums instead of blogs. Though, I do like using both.

I personally enjoy forums over blogs.
I don't think blogs are really my type.

Yeah, forums for me too. It's more time efficient, as well, seeing as you can leave multiple messages quickly, rather than spending a chunk of time to write a blog post. That's pretty much why I don't update my blog all that often, but I'm going to try to fix that and force myself to update since it's almost been a full year now, haha. My blog's just basically there for the same reason Teg mentioned, general information about what's going on in my life at the time, and photos that I want to share. I don't even know if people visit it, but it's nice to have a place where I can express myself in that way.

I would also choose forums.
To be honest a blog has never really interested me and as such never even used one

I much prefer a blog. Easier to maintain and you don't have to post as much.

Forums. My experience with running a blog is I soon run out of things to blog about and will go months without making a single blog post.

I prefer forums. Running a blog is soooo much work especially if you are the only one making posts for it.
