No not really, i show no interest in artificial effects as much as the activity and content.

No glowing usernames, but we DO have a glowing code tag style, which works really well, and suits the ethos of the tag 
It looks like this :D
It CAN work well if it's done subtly, but that can be tricky to get right. Particularly if different groups have different colours anyway. |

That's odd, the glowing doesn't happen on this forum. can't even force it with the !important qualifier. Here's what it SHOULD look like:  That effect, I think, would really suit text on a dark background. Could be useful for the Halloween theme |

When I owned my forums site I didn't really offer glowing usernames because I always thought it made my website lag.

Using some text-shadows, my usernames glow. Other than that, I don't have any other effect on my usernames. My members names glow as well, it's not just for staff.  |
