Hah, I'm the opposite of you, I loved the movie but haven't read the book. I want to read the book though, since I know there are probably lots of details that the movie couldn't express. The movie was amazing! It was one of the ones that we saw in 3D too, so that made it even better. I didn't see the ending coming either, that was harsh. Asa Butterfield was amazing in his role though, I really liked the way he portrayed Ender, and the way he showed the emotion on his face. So many good quotes in the movie also, I'm not sure if that's from the book or from the movie writers. But here are a couple that I really liked:

You should definitely read the book, it does help give you an idea of some of the things that are happening, since previous experience with movies based off of books, don't always go into depth into certain things that would be fun to put into movie form. There is a whole series based off of it, so you might want to also include your reading of those too.

I'll definitely have to look into that, because I did really like the story from what I understood based on the movie. I'll remember to check for that the next time I'm at a bookstore.
