I figure that all of us (ice) hockey fanatics can talk puck here. NHL/AHL/ECHL and even the Euro leagues are eligible to be discussed. Beer league? Sure, why not!

Well, I'm not really an ice hockey fanatic, but I do love going to see the games if I ever get the chance. I think it's because it reminds me of soccer, just on ice.  Back in my hometown, they had more hockey games available, but I haven't ever seen any out here. Aw, and on further research, the professional hockey team from my homestate (Oklahoma City Barons) apparently ceased operations in 2014 due to budget cuts. I have a really good friend who lives in Canada who loves hockey (of course) and would probably be able to contribute to this thread much more than I could. He actually used to play it when he was younger and I remember always being worried about him because there's just so much fighting that can go on or other ways to get hurt. |

Man, I haven't thought about nor watched any kind of Hockey match since I was around fifteen or sixteen years old. I use to love it, but lost interest when I started playing sports and hanging out with friends and such. It really is a cool sport to watch, and I may get back into it in the future.
