Only thing I own are Windows laptops.
One of them is upgraded to Windows 10 and the other is still at Windows 7 (for work purposes, although that has recently changed, but I'm still kinda skeptical of upgrading.)
I've had Samsung phones for years and always loved them so I didn't even think of changing to a Windows phone or anything.
My boyfriend does have a Surface, which is very nice.

I have a laptop running Windows 10 .. I did have a Windows Phone too but gave that to the mother lol. I now have a Samsung S5  Dave |

I have laptop running windows 8, I honestly hate it but I like the apps.

All hail Windows 10; and I think they are forcing some people to upgrade to Windows 10 next year, no?
Anyway, whenever Intel decides to release a graphics driver for my system that's actually compatible with Windows 10, I'll love it even more. Right now it's pretty awesome, but I would certainly switch back to Windows 7 if I could.

But if you want windows 10 for free you have to do it within the first year starting from July I believe. Outside of that you have to pay for it. |

I use a windows 8 phone(lumia) and windows 8 laptop. I bought them as I wanted to create apps for them but the reality is, from a user experience point of view. They suck. Hardly any good apps for the phone, they all seem to follow the same god awful design trend. Stick with android if you want the best app experience. As far as the laptop, I hate the start menu, feels like I have to take an extra steps or two just to get something basic done.

The Windows App Store never really picked up that much. Imo best OS to develop mobile apps for is now Android instead of Apple. Android is available on a much more wide variety of devices.

I upgraded my phone because... Let's face it - in all fairness, the one I had before just didn't do anything for me. So I ended up getting the Lumia so I didn't end up with the exact same phone my mother has (and she got a new one as well).
Honestly, I'm not looking to get every app possible. I just wanted more functionality than the little Alcatel that I had before.
It fits my lifestyle, but the only thing I'm still learning regarding it is how to get onto an internet connection when I'm out and about.
