So these handy little devices are becoming more and more popular, from Fitbit, Nike, Garmin, Jawbone, or even a SmartWatch.
Does anybody have one and if you do, what kind do you have? Do you use it every day? What is it about your device's features that helps you to reach your fitness goals?

Nope, I don't use one nor own one. I'm not real big into "fitness." Though, I do have a pedometer on my phone that tracks the total steps I take each day.

Yeah I was using that too but I didn't like how you had to carry your phone with you everywhere in order for it to track the steps. I mean, I'm not going to carry my phone to the kitchen if I want something to eat and then back to the office. Which is why I loved my Christmas gift from my boyfriend last year, a Jawbone UP24, which is a neat little "bracelet" that tracks steps, sleep patterns and syncs with MyFitnessPal to help me keep track of calorie intake as well, and other fitness apps that track exercise and integrate that into your day. I love their customer service also... about 3 months ago, I noticed that the power button had fallen off of my UP24 and after not having any luck at finding a replacement online, I contacted them to see if they had any suggestions on what I should do. They got back to me that very same day, offering a replacement UP24 in lime or red (I had the black one and was not a fan of either of those colors) OR a free upgrade to their UP2, since the UP24s were no longer being made. So of course, I took the upgrade and now I have a black UP2 with a pretty diamond pattern. I love it, specifically because I spend so much of my work day sitting at a computer, therefore not getting enough exercise. It motivates me to actually get up and move around as much as I can, and it was also what was motivating me to go on my 4 mile walks in the morning, so that I reach my 10,000 step goal every day. I'm lucky if I make it up to 5,000 without that extra effort. And now that I've slacked off a bit in that department, I definitely feel the difference... just a little bit of exercise does so much for my mood throughout the day. But yeah, obviously I use mine every day, and I only take it off when I'm in the shower, even though they say it's shower-resistant, but I don't want to take the risk.

I use an Apple Watch! My Apple Watch + iPhone tracks everything I do from my heart rate to my steps taken. It's actually super handy considering I have heart problems.

Yeah, my family has a history of heart disease, so that was one motivation for me to try to keep track of my fitness and health. Only thing I don't like about mine is that it doesn't track my heart rate (I'd have to upgrade to the UP3 or UP4 for that). Sorry to hear that you have heart problems already though.

I know many people that do, including my mom, but I don't normally exercise a ton anymore so I really have no use to use them. XD Even if you're not that big into exercise, it's sometimes just nice to know how many steps you've walked. I haven't actually kept up with all of the exercising I used to do, but I still wear mine and look at the app on my phone consistently throughout the day to see how much of a slacker I'm being. Though I also use it for tracking my food intake as well, more so for that lately, rather than fitness.

I once built a computerised hamster wheel that tracked how far my first hamster, Millie ran. Does that count as a fitness tracker? I think I built that before fitness trackers were a "thing"
