Do any of the groups on your forum have sparkling usernames? Nope lol ... Although this might be impressive for the owner of the account who has a sparkling name i personally think it looks unproffesional but i guess it depends on the type of community you want to build. If its an RPG / themed or Coding & Graphics community then sparkling names would probably be acceptable but i think for something that is more professionally based then i wouldnt recommend it. Dave

Dave Yeah, I have them on mine but it's just a general discussion board.

Yeah I think it depends on the type of forum. I personally don't use any of those kinds of effects, because I'm just not too fond of them. I feel like it's one of those things where it's neat at first but then it just gets old too quickly.

I think it depends on the type of forum, I have sparkling usernames on my Teen Titans roleplaying forum since I think it's cool. xD Plus seeing how it's a roleplaying forum, I figured I could get away with using it rather than on a more professional forum.

No groups, no. One member did ask for one that I had to literally make an image for as the html/css I attempted to do didn't work. That member only posted a few times then never came back though. So that was annoying.

I thought about having sparkle effects in a couple key areas on my forum, but I couldn't get it looking how I wanted without it also looking "Myspace-y". I still want to do something for the star portion of the moderator team rank badge, but it'll be a very subtle occasional glint, and not a sparkler, per-se.

If you do it with CSS/HTML as well, it seems to look different and/or work differently depending on which browser you use. I did add sparkles to my name on my forum but I'm not sure they work on my browser. I used to see them now I don't...unless I've removed them and forgot that I did so.

I don't think proboards can get them though You can, by utilising CSS in the coloured usernames plugin or by making an image and using the username as image plugin.

I don't think proboards can get them though Indeed, someone like myself has to code it in using a text clipping region as a mask for a sparkling GIF Also text clipping isn't supported on at least one browser (and we all know which one )

I only know snippets of code for html...basics like bold, italic, underline, line break, url, etc. I often have to look up things.
